My name is Hunter Skidmore, I’m nine years old and my sister and I were born at Bayfront. Last year, I was named Principal for the Day because my mom was the lucky winner of a drawing held at school. As the leader of the school for a day, I decided to let everyone ditch their uniforms and wear casual clothes to school. There was just one catch – they had to donate money to the charity of my choice! Students at my school loved the idea and soon a donation jar was filled with more than $200. I talked to my family to get help in selecting a worthy organization to receive the donations. After getting lots of input, I chose Bayfront because I can’t think of anything more important than healthy babies. That’s how I met Nurse Manager Cindy Cole. Ms. Cole manages the nurses who take care of the moms and babies at Bayfront. I learned all about Bayfront Baby Place from Ms. Cole and she is going to take me on tour while it’s being built. My friends and I really felt good about giving the money to Bayfront babies. Learn how to start your own fundraising team to support Bayfront Baby Place. |
